About Bob Wiley

I believe that successful living comes from unconditional self-love and non-judgmental self-ownership. For over 30 years, I have been helping individuals from all walks of life discover this truth for themselves.

My own journey of personal growth led me to the profound teachings of Barry Neil Kaufman and the Option Institute. What I discovered transformed not only my life but my entire approach to helping others.

I am passionate and excited about the therapeutic work I do with each individual I see. I work to build a safe, trusting and honest therapeutic relationship where genuine exploration can happen.

My role is not to fix you—because there is nothing wrong with you. My role is to ask the questions that help you uncover your own wisdom, discover your own clarity, and access your own power to create the life you truly want.

AS THOREAU SAID:

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches to every one striking at the root." Together, we strike at the root.

Why this program exists

This work did not come from a textbook. It came from living it.

I grew up trying to be a good person.

I took on the judgments around me — cultural, societal, religious — and made them my own. I strived for perfection while attacking myself for every failure to reach it. I excelled on the outside and felt like I was never enough on the inside. Never enough for God, for the people around me, for the voices that seemed to know better than I did who I was supposed to be.

Somewhere along the way I learned that fully loving myself was arrogant. That the right way to be a person was to shrink, to earn acceptance, to put others first. I grew up shy, insecure, and afraid — desperately wanting to be accepted, and absolutely certain that if anyone truly knew me, they would not.

I remember being in college when my parents came to visit. I ordered pizza on the phone — a perfectly ordinary thing — and my mother commented on how easily I did it. Her surprise told me everything about how unassertive and voiceless I had been. The bar for what counted as growth was that low.

I went into counseling, if I am honest, to help myself be okay within myself. Not as justification. As a genuine search for inner peace.

What I found — through a process of honest, nonjudgmental self-reflection — was that the beliefs I had assembled about myself were not facts. They were beliefs. And beliefs can be examined. The shift that changed everything came when I was finally able to trust myself. To stop reshaping myself to earn approval. To understand that judging myself had never produced growth — only more of the same.

My insides finally matched my outsides. The shame quieted. The fear loosened. I was not fixed. I was understood — by myself. And that made all the difference.

If any part of that sounds familiar — if something in you recognizes this path — the next step is simply to reach out. The right time is now.

Common questions

Before you reach out

No. This is a group coaching program — not clinical counseling or psychotherapy. Bob is a licensed mental health professional but within this program he is acting as a coach and facilitator. The focus is on understanding and applying the S-B-R model as a practical philosophy for living. If clinical support is what you need, Bob will help you find it.

Yes. Life Is Easier Than You Think (paperback, Kindle, or Audible) or Your Key to Personal Happiness (eBook) is a prerequisite and needs to be completed before Session 0. The program builds directly on the framework the book introduces.

That is an asset. People who have prior experience with this work bring a depth to the group that enriches it for everyone. This program is designed to take the work further — from understanding the model to genuinely living from it — and prior experience accelerates that considerably.

Most participants find 2–3 hours per week outside of sessions is enough to engage the workbook, post-session reflections, and the community. The more you bring to the between-session practice, the more you receive from the program.

Yes. Every session is recorded and made available exclusively to participants within 24 hours. Recordings are for personal review only and are not shared outside the group.

Each group is capped at 8–12 people intentionally. A small group means every person has genuine space to do real work — not just observe. It also means the relationships you build with fellow participants are real and specific rather than anonymous.

Yes — and Bob would welcome that. Simply reach out via our contact page. Bob personally responds to every inquiry and will make time for a conversation if that helps you make the right decision for yourself.
